work: Cultural and Public Galleries: SFMOMA Magritte Installation

IKD was invited to propose a series of installations for the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art's Magritte: The Fifth Season Exhibition. Our proposal is to think of the gallery space as an inverted apple, and to “peel” the gallery walls to reveal what is beyond and to offer alternate perceptions of the space itself. Deployed at varying scales and configurations, “peels” would reveal or create text, gathering spaces, and furniture.
